Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu is currently trending as the top topic on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Karen's trend comes after Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen pledged to take action against Kenyans spotted hanging onto the doors of a Mercedes Benz.

A video showing two young men sitting on the windows of the car has surfaced, seemingly displaying disregard for their safety as they speed along Mombasa Road.

The individuals filming can be heard questioning the two men as the vehicle speeds along.

"Mko na akili nyinyi" a woman is heard repeating twice.

"Weh mtakufa" she cautions about their reckless behavior. (See PicAbove)

CS Murkomen took to his social media platform to publicly call out the owner of the vehicle.

"Mr James Gathogo Njeri this is who your car White Mercedes Benz KCX 959B class E-250 was being driven on Mombasa Road in one of those 'where is the minister moments'. We are concerned and a responsible citizen alerted us. We shall do what we must" the politician announced his intentions.

Kenyans are questioning why the CS was swift to react to the video yet remained silent when a few weeks ago Karen Nyamu was caught driving on the wrong side.

They are demanding that the CS takes action against Karen Nyamu as well.

Check out some of the reactions below

@maliks_88: when Karen Nyamu broke traffic rules, you never tweeted, when govt officials break traffic rules every day on the wrong side you never tweet, now ordinary guy does this, you are awake and ready to act.

@gabrieloguda: Omwami, @kipmurkomen. Kenya has only one constitution. Either you're punishing Karen Nyamu too, or you're pardoning both of them. Here is the evidence for your action. Let us know if you need more of these, we're at your service. Kongoi.

@5peopleke: @kipmurkomenSelective justice aye?? Na hii ya Karen Nyamu we never saw you talking about it..

@AllanObare4: If transport CS kipchumba Murkomen wants to apply the law to Mr. James Gathogo Njeri we are also demanding that Karen Nyamu also to be charged. We can't have a country where the laws are not applied to a selected group of people. We are all Kenyans.

@ConradKulo: Frame 1: Karen Nyamu recording herself using the wrong lane of the road and she’s never been arrested. She later posted the “mta do” video on her socials and she’s still walking free. Frame 2: A Super Metro driver doing exactly what Karen Nyamu did and the law punished him severely. In whatever you do, never be poor.
