Kenyan content creator Peter Kabi, also known as Kabi Wajesus, has spoken up about his battle with cannabis addiction and how he was introduced to the substance at a young age.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Kabi said that he began smoking pot in class 5, motivated to blend in and keep friendships.

Growing up in the ghetto, smoking was widespread at that age, and there was also a plan for initiation that fell through when he was in class 6.

Kabi revealed that he was later diagnosed with tuberculosis and that his doctor instructed him to stop smoking cannabis and cigarettes altogether. He could do so for a few months before resuming full force.

Kabi stated that he recognized at this point that he couldn't quit on his own because he was completely addicted.

He received salvation and was reborn in 2013. He avoided smoking because he feared relapsing, but his addiction vanished when he embraced Christ.

He stated that he overcame his difficulties by testifying to his religion.

The father of three warned his supporters against making drugs look cool because children are watching, and they do not have complete control over the substances, which can lead to a life of crime and addiction.
